Wild Thang!

Hey all,

The Dunkelweizen kicked last night so we put on the Wild Thang. This is our beer we brew with some cooked wild rice, that we add to the mash tun. The rice adds a nice nuttiness to the beer. When that nutty flavor gets with the hop flavor from the sterling hops you get almost a cherry pit flavor. Yummy!

And yes the Black IPA is on!

  1. Had the Black IPA today at lunch, very delicious and by far the best of the style I've had to date. Less hoppiness than I was expecting, which I really enjoyed as most Black IPAs are totally out of balance. Drank more like a light bodied, well hopped porter. Hope you guys brew it again. Def. worth a submission to the next GABF.
