2 out of 3 aint bad...

Hey all,

We have a bunch of beer line up changes this week.  Were we have the new beer Ryezenheimer on as well as an early release of 2 out of the 3 4th of July Beers, White Lightning IPA and Purple Stuff IPA

(dare you to click on the link!  Don't worry its not a virus, just where the name came from)

Those of you who made it to Taste of the nation got to try the Ryezenheimer and know what a great food beer this beer is.  Ryezenheimer is a Rye version of a traditional German style hefewiezen.  The slightly spicy notes from the Rye malt are complemented with the addition of Rosemary and Lemongrass to make this beer a perfect summer beer.

Now for 4th of July we have always done red, white and blue beers to show our patriotic spirit.  for years it has been, Murphy's Law Red, Belgian Wit (or white beer) and the Bluebeery ale.

This year i wanted to mix it up a bit doing Red, White and Blue IPA's!

So we going to have Ginga Ninja IPA, which is a Red IPA that has the addition of ginger to the brew, for the red.  White Lightning IPA, which is a Belgian Wit base hopped out like an IPA, for the White.  Then we have the new beer Purple Stuff IPA, a blueberry IPA with lots of Palisade hops, for the blue.

But for you super fans of the Bluebeery Ale dont you worry... I made a double batch of it for the 4th this year!

Cheers,
Tyler

IPA stands for Incredibly Palatable Ale...

File:Carnaval Venecia 14feb2009.jpg

Hey all,

Get you taste buds ready for a Carnival in your mouth...Calypso Pale Ale has hit the taps and it is an Incredibly Palatable Ale (new acronym for IPA???).  This Dry hopped American pale ale (APA) has the late addition of Bravo and then is dry hopped with Calypso hops.  The dry bodied APA had flavors/aromas of apple, spice Pear and lime peel.  This is a Pale Ale for all you IPA Drinkers out there.

Cheers,
Tyler

Vacation is over...

Hey all,

So I am just getting back from a two week Paternal leave.  That is right my first born is here...don't you worry, he already has his Assistant Brewer onesie.

But on the P-brew side of the world what a difference a couple of weeks make.  The guys here did a great job of holding down the fort while i was away so we have plenty of beer to go into the unofficial kick off of summer, Market Square Day.   Plus, without missing a beat we got our new draft line up and running  just in time.  For those of you following on Facebook you have seen the pictures of the progress.  The run down is that we have expanded our draft selection for the two towers in the upstairs bar from 10 to 12 lines.  As well as adding 2 beer engines dead center of the bar for you cask lovers out there.  The Jimmy Lapanza Lounge got the biggest face lift of all.  We have moved the taps to the back wall and have the same 12 beers and 2 casks you can get upstairs. Plus, we added 4 more lines from a direct draw cooler on the back wall.  This give me the opportunity to get some super special beers for you guys to sample.  So head on downstairs and see all we have to offer you.

See you in soon for a pint!

Cheers,
Tyler
