Put it up on the blog like all other beers, it would make it to the beer websites that night and people would be able to come up over the weekend to get some. But you wouldn't have hundreds of people skipping work and drinking it all before people that couldn't get the day off could even get there. This is from someone that got bottles and had two on tap after work on Monday, but I definitely feel for people that stopped in on Tuesday, figuring they could avoid the huge crowd, and couldn't get any.Robhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16148578137943768508noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5922880664641278980.post-32422606063373096282009-02-11T12:01:00.000-05:002009-02-11T12:01:00.000-05:00Here! Imagine our disappointment and annoyance! This is my second time to have missed out.
Perhaps next time it should just be put out like every other beer (with out the overblown hoopla) so your loyal/local fans can have a reasonable chance to enjoy it.LADhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09957848215830617752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5922880664641278980.post-38287611333251592602009-02-11T10:51:00.000-05:002009-02-11T10:51:00.000-05:00Yeah, I went by yesterday (Tuesday) evening to fin...Yeah, I went by yesterday (Tuesday) evening to find that it was all gone in one day. Not talking about bottles here, just on tap. Last time, it lasted from Tuesday to Friday. This time, gone in less than a day.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. I certainly don't want to begrudge you all your awesome success with this beer - it's a great beer, and the big event last time was an exciting celebration. But at the same time, it seems to me that if loyal local customers are completely shut out in less than a day by people swarming in from hundreds of miles away who camp out all day long (on a weekday) on the sidewalk... Well, suddenly it's not as fun anymore. It's kinda sad, like a line got crossed somewhere. May I respectfully suggest, without sounding like a whiner, that the hype has gone about as far as it should go, and should be scaled back a bit next time?

Fortunately I had the Dubbel and Triple in which to drown my sorrows...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5922880664641278980.post-41146275656223168462009-02-11T10:35:00.000-05:002009-02-11T10:35:00.000-05:00Peter... I hope some provision is made in the future so that your local, loyal, long-time clientele can get more than a whiff of Kate, or have to get up at 5AM to get a chance at a bottle or 2.

I'm sure you had a killer day, bottom-line wise, but the people who show up once a year don't make Portsmouth, it's your regulars!

Prosit!!Bierman9https://www.blogger.com/profile/10095499009471122721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5922880664641278980.post-24291909327101792632009-02-10T18:26:00.000-05:002009-02-10T18:26:00.000-05:00One day?
